Ser mãe é algo desejado por muitas mulheres. Mas, quem está preparado para maternidade atípica?

O fato é que muitos romantizam essa condição e a retórica é: vocês foram escolhidas; são guerreiras e assim por diante. A maternidade atípica requer acompanhamento, a mãe sozinha não dá conta de administrar tudo.

É importante que os membros da família sejam constantemente fortalecidos. Quando chega uma criança com alguma necessidade especial no âmbito familiar, o ideal é que a responsabilidade seja dividida entre todos, mas na maioria das vezes isso não acontece, a sobrecarga cai nos ombros da mãe que se torna a responsável pelo tratamento da criança. Essa mãe terá sua vida modificada, algo que não tinha sido pensado durante o período da gestação, quando idealizava a criança.

Para Shirlei Lizak Zolfan, psicóloga e professora da FAM (Centro Universitário das Américas), o acompanhamento psicológico se torna necessário por ser um momento de cuidado com a sua saúde mental, pois passam por momento de estresse surgindo sinais de ansiedade, medo, irritabilidade, perda de controle emocional, tristeza e depressão.

“Quando as mães encontram suporte psicoterapêutico elas podem desabafar, amenizar o sofrimento e redirecionar pensamentos e comportamentos para aumentar o bem-estar. Elas conseguem falar e serem ouvidas e sobretudo lidar com as dores”, completa a psicóloga.

A sociedade precisa ajudar com mais políticas públicas, muitas mães não têm acesso aos serviços de acolhimento. Esse apoio psicológico é muito importante. Quando os pais recebem ajuda para entender como fazer as intervenções passam a compreender melhor sobre os seus filhos, sobre as suas atitudes e limitações, melhorando as interações e a comunicação entre eles e beneficiando, portanto, ambos, pais e filhos.
O termo mães guerreiras não resolve as questões e problemas que elas lidam diariamente. A maternidade atípica exige acima de tudo: sanidade.

Um terapeuta ajuda a definir as necessidades das famílias e auxilia os pais a eleger as tarefas e reduzir a ansiedade associada à sobrecarga.
